We're famed in Townsville for 320 days of sunshine every year, so where better for Australia's first Sun Hat Fest?

The Sun Hat Fest will be held on Saturday, September 5, at Kirwan Uniting Church, Hinchinbrook Dr, Townsville.
As you can see, it's a joint venture. Diane was inspired by seeing the array of chilly weather headgear in the Alice Springs Beanie Fest. We both have lost loved ones through skin cancers and believe the Sun Hat Fest can help save lives. At present we're spreading the word, home-sewn hats, colourful, weird and wonderful most welcome. Proceeds from sales to the Australian Skin Cancer Foundation
